PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet pile making a piling-up interval constant and having a cross sectional shape allowing easy piling up and separation one by one. SOLUTION: This steel sheet pile of a left and right unsymmetrical joint has a direct claw side 14 where a position in the direction of height of a claw bottom 14A of a Larsen type joint which is manufactured by hot rolling, is formed by a web 11, flanges 12 on its both sides, and joint support parts 13 on its both further sides, and is continuous with one end side of left and right symmetrical hat type cross sectional part is substantially the same as that of the joint support parts and a bent claw side 15 where a position in the direction of height of a claw bottom 15A of the Larsen type joint continuous with the other end side of the hat type cross sectional part is deviated onto a web side more than the joint support parts. This steel sheet pile has step difference 1 provided by change of thickness of the flanges at a step piling-up position, and inclinationθ1 of the flange on a joint support part side is within a scope of angle±0.5°calculated by expression:sin<SP>-1</SP>(tf/hp) from the minimum flange thickness value tf and a target value hp of the step piling-up interval.
