PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refuse throw-in device capable of smoothly feeding refuse into a storage tank through a receiving part formed in an upper portion by a simple mechanism while troubles hardly occur. SOLUTION: In the refuse feeding device 1 to feed the refuse into a storage tank 2 through a receiving part 21 formed in an upper portion of the storage tank 2, a carrying path 3 is erected in a substantially vertical manner from a part in a vicinity of a floor surface to the receiving part 21, a feeding part 5 is provided on a lower portion of the carrying path 3, a discharge port 6 communicated with the receiving part is formed in an upper portion thereof, and a carrying means to carry the refuse fed from the feeding part 5 upwardly in the carrying path 3 and discharges the refuse from the discharge port 6 is provided in the carrying path 3. The carrying means 4 consists of a screw 4 or a conveyor arranged in a substantially vertical direction, or an elevating/lowering plate provided in an elevating/lowering manner.
