PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information medium storage case which prevents a memory cartridge from being damaged when taken out of a cartridge holding frame, enables the cartridge to be taken out easily and smoothly, and can be manufactured at low costs. SOLUTION: The memory cartridge holding frame 3 defined in the main body 1 of the information medium case includes an open area 4c other than open areas 4a and 4b for holding the cartridge. An unfitting device 6 formed on the flat area 5a of an approximately W-shaped elastic strip 5 in the middle of the strip 5 and having a tapered face 6a for unfitting the memory cartridge is slid from the open area 4c.
