PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing apparatus for transportation trains capable of testing traveling/driving systems of transportation trains extracted from transportation lines. SOLUTION: The testing apparatus is equipped with a train-supporting rail 22 linked to a train guide rail 6 of the transportation line; a pair of the front and rear subordinate movement supporting rollers 26a, 26b, designed to hold, in a self-revolution allowing manner, the running-driven wheel 7 of the transportation train 1, which is shifted to a fixed position on the train supporting rail 22; load attachment means 27, providing such traveling resistance to the transportation train 1 as equivalent to the resistance arising during the transportation of cargoes; power supply and signal conveyance means, designed to provide power and traveling restriction signals to the transport-use train 1; a number-of-rotation detecting meter 30, designed to detect the number of rotations of the pair of front and rear subordinate movement supporting rollers 26a, 26b; and indication means showing the running speed of the transportation train 1, based on the number of revolutions detected by the number-of-rotation detecting meter 30.
