PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing apparatus which can reduce number of lubrication as an oil tank which can prevent the lubricating oil from marking a sewn object by recycling activity or oversupply of the lubricating oil and has capacity so that it can store specified amount of the lubricating oil. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a first lubricating oil tank installed upper than an object to which lubricating oil is supplied, a second lubricating oil tank 6a installed lower than the first lubricating oil tank, a lubricating oil passage connecting the first lubricating oil tank and the second lubricating oil tank 6a, a float 11 installed in the second lubricating oil tank 6a, and a closing mechanisms 18, 22 which close at least a part of the lubricating oil passage according to the position variation of the float 11 associated with the oil quantity in the second lubricating oil tank 6a.
