PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of recognizing braille in an image, and converting it into a predetermined useful data format. SOLUTION: The image processing system 100 receives input of braille image data from a scanner device 20, it carries out character recognition of braille included in the braille image data, and it converts the braille into character data. From the character data, a character attached with attribute information is detected, and a character form of the detected character is specified. The character data is associated with the character form, and a recognition result 18a of a standard data format based upon document description language such as HTML, or a recognition result 18b of a text data format is outputted.
