PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side member tube hydroforming member of lightweight construction used in the front sides or the rear sides of an automobile body capable of absorbing much energy generated by an impact, uniformly crushing to an extent not exceeding an appropriate degree of crushing, easy to undergo a molding process, and excellent in the producibility. SOLUTION: The side member tube hydroforming member 1 is used in the front sides or the rear sides of the automobile body 101. In one part in the longitudinal direction of this hydroforming member 1, beads 6 extending in the longitudinal direction of the hydroforming member 1 are provided in at least two parts including the confronting part when viewed on the section of the hydroforming member.
