The device has a video unit for recording video images, a rectifying catadioptric stereo mirror arrangement and a computing unit for evaluating the video images recorded by the video unit and for generating an additional image for each recorded video image. The additional image reproduces the respective distance of the object point associated with the video image point from the video unit. An independent claim is also included for a method of contactless image-generating distance determination. |
