The bracket (12) for the cooling fan bearing support structure (10) has a threaded (40) bore (38) accommodating a threaded (26) bearing bush (14). The bush has a flange at its outer end and flexible tongues which grip the narrow portion of the fan shaft (16). The bush has a smooth bore with a slightly reduced diameter at the ends of the flexible tongues. The large diameter end of the fan shaft forms a bearing (18) on which a spider (20) for the fan blades may rotate. |
