摘要 The present invention describes a prosthesis for an above elbow amputation, which is driven by electrical linear actuators arranged in a parallel mechanism, the same allowing three active movements to be carried out in the elbow as well as the active pressure of the hand or any terminal device. This novel mechanism enables the strength of the several actuators of the prosthesis to work together in order to produce the flexion of the elbow, the pronosupination and the humeral rotation. The prosthesis is driven by electrical switches attached to a harness or by means of the interpretation of the myoelectric signal.
