This unit is located above or below the cigar conveyor (3) and comprises several infra-red light sources (9). A conveyor transports cigars from the inlet side (3a) of the drying chamber to the outlet side (2b) of this chamber, in which the cigars are dried by a flow of hot air generated by a heating device (5).
