摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an on-vehicle navigator and an on-vehicle navigation method which retrieve an adequate route when route retrieval is performed in a parking area arranged in a road. SOLUTION: When the area where a present position of a self-car is subjected to matching on the basis of the result of matching by a matching process part 21 is high speed/toll road, a flag of high speed/toll road is set. In the case of a siding road, a lamp flag is set and the coordinate of the spot is stored as coordinate data. When these flags are set and matching is not obtained to any road in the results of map matching, it is judged that the self-car is in an SA/PA, and route calculation is performed setting the coordinate on a siding road as a start point.
