Fast drying coating composition comprising an unsaturated hydroxydiester

A resin composition specially adapted for use as a top coat on metal substrate with a fast drying speed. The thermosetting resins are prepared from a radical copolymerisation of an unsaturated hydroxyalkyl diester and acrylic or methacrylic and vinyl monomers, the resins are curable with a curative which react with the hydroxyl functionality. More particularly this invention relates composition of a resin prepared by radical polymerisation of alkyl, hydroxyalkyl diester maleate monomers.
