FIELD: microbiology. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves culturing analyzed culture of microorganisms, preparing suspension of bacterial cells, its incubation, separation of supernatant and mixing with hemoglobin solution. Control sample is prepared in parallel. Then experimental and control samples are incubated and samples are added to transforming solution and incubated again. Then the residual concentration of hemoglobin is determined in experimental and control samples and anti-hemoglobin activity of analyzed culture of microorganisms is calculated. Invention provides determination of anti-hemoglobin activity of microorganisms, assay of their pathogenic indices and etiological significance in pathological processes.
