METHOD FOR DEHYDROGENATING C2-C30-ALKANES

The invention concerns a method for dehydrogenating C2-C 30 alkanes, which consist in: (i) in a first process, dehydrogenating ethyl benzene into styrene, generating a hydrogen- containing gas stream, and (ii) in a second process, dehydrogenating one or several C2-C30 alkanes heterogeneously catalyzed in one or several reaction zones into corresponding olefins, a hydrogen- containing gas stream being mixed in at least one reaction zone with the dehydrogenation reaction gas stream. The invention is characterized in that at least part of the hydrogen-containing gaseous effluents derived from ethyl benzene dehydrogenation is added to the alkane dehydrogenation reaction gas mixture.
