The invention relates to a method for increasing the capacity of a waste-heat boiler ( 1 ) processing gases obtained from a metallurgic smelting furnace, such as a flash smelting furnace, and for reducing dust accretions, where liquid is added into the waste-heat boiler ( 1 ) of the smelting furnace.
