The invention relates to a method for cleaning steam generating devices of a compressed water reactor, whereby said devices are treated on the secondary side, at high pressure and high temperature, with an aqueous cleaning solution which con tains EDTA, a reducing agent and an alkalising agent. According to the invention, morpholine is used as an alkalisadon agent. A molar morpholine-concentration, which is at least the same size as the molar concentration of EDTA, is thus selected.
