Provided is a wet pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which comprises, as a component A, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, a vinyl pyrrolidone.vinyl acetate copolymer, polyethylene oxide and the half ester of a methyl vinyl ether.maleic anhydride copolymer; as a component B, a liquid plasticizer compatible with the component A; and as a component C, a filler. The combination of the component C with components A and B makes it possible to provide a wet pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which exhibits tackiness in the presence of water or a hydrophilic medium, adheres well to the application site, dries speedily after adhesion, has high mechanical strength after drying and can be peeled off easily. The wet pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is therefore useful as a facial pack material such as peel-off pack for the removal of horny plugs formed in the skin pores or a skin covering material for the moist or wet skin surface. |
