The proposed mouse pointing device for a computer contains a unit for reading the user identification code, a main controller, control key buttons, and additionally, a unit for the output of the user identification code, an additional controller, and a key button for the identification code output enable. The reading unit provides a possibility to recognize multifunctional user identification codes. The additional controller contains a memory unit, a signal-to-serial code converter, and a decoder. The control input of the unit for the output of the user identification code is connected to the output of the main controller via the key button for the identification code output enable, and the output is connected to the input of the memory unit of the additional controller. The present invention provides a possibility to simplify hardware and software facilities that are used for identifying users, reliably protect the computer against impermissible access, and extend the functionality range of a mouse pointing device.
