The laser beam from a resonator (12) is formed by a series of cylindrical mirrors into a beam (13) for machining a material. The first two (16,17) align the polarization plane relative to a third mirror (18). The latter functions as a delay plate or phase shifter. A final mirror (19) deflects and expands the beam before it is focussed on the material to be machined.
|
