摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for bending a rotor coil of a salient type rotary electric machine, capable of decreasing a thickness matching operation or connection operation such as brazing in a manufacturing process for the rotor coil wound on a salient magnetic pole core, and also capable of reducing the number of components constituting the rotor coil. SOLUTION: A rotor coil 1 which comprises a copper band 2 whose cross section is square is wound on a salient magnetic pole core 4. The device bends an oval or rectangular field rotor coil by bending a conductive band of the copper band 2 whose cross section is square in the length direction of the square cross section, corresponding to the corner of 4. A bending tool 6 determines a coil forming dimension when manufacturing the field coil to match the dimension of 4, which is set at a table movable/rotatable in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction at a position corresponding to the corner of 4. A bender mechanism 10 bends while pressing the copper band 2 against 6. A throttling mechanism 9 adjusts so that the thickness inside the copper band 2 approaches the thickness of the material of the copper band 2 when bending the copper band 2.
