PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat development apparatus, having small low conduction to the outside and proper heat insulation without, temperature irregularity on the surface of a press roller. SOLUTION: The heat development apparatus is provided with an image exposure part for exposing an image by giving light or heat to a heat development sensitive material or a heat development recording material including a photosensitive and heat sensitive material, and a heat development part for heating and heat-developing for the exposed heat development recording material. The heat development part is provided with a plate-like heater, a plurality of rotation-free press rollers, arranged in opposition to the plate-like heater and for pressing the heat development recording material on the plate-like heater, and a transport roller for driving the most upstream press roller in the transport direction of the heat development recording material from among the plurality of the press rollers.
