PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively measure the shape and the position accuracy of a broach. SOLUTION: In this shape-measuring device 1, the broach 10 is held rotatably about a shaft and a broach center is detected, and then a slide table 4, a measuring post 5, a detection head 9 or the like are moved and controlled by a control panel 6, and the gauge head 9a tip, held, by the detection head 9 of the measuring post 5, is brought into contact with a portion to be measured of the broach 10 to thereby perform copy measurement, and the shape of an edge part 21 (blade-edge shape) of a cutting blade 18, coaxiality, deflection, divided angle, rolling angle, notched quantity, clearance angle or the like are measured in an absolute space coordinate.
