PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater vessel with reduced frictional resistance by covering most of the body with a gas phase. SOLUTION: This underwater vessel is installed at a tip of a body 3, and comprises a cavitator 5 generating a cavity over an entire periphery at a rear part, and a ventilator 7 growing the cavity generated by the cavitator 5 backward. The ventilator 7 grows the cavity generated over the entire periphery at the tip end of the body 3 backward, and the body 3 is entirely covered by the cavity, so as to significantly reduce the frictional resistance applied on the body.
