PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary air bubble generating bathtub for which a member constituting an air bubble generator is disposed at the side part of the bathtub within a projection plane in the plane view of the bathtub and which does not easily generate an air lock and does not cause large bubbles in the bathtub. SOLUTION: The air bubble generator 11 is miniaturized by using a gas-liquid dissolving tank as the 2-layer structure of a primary side tank and a secondary side tank. For a piping gradient from a bathtub suction port 13 to a circulation pump 17, the circulation pump side 17 is disposed so as to be at a position higher by two degrees or more for instance. Piping from the gas-liquid dissolving tank 1 to a bathtub discharge port 22 is disposed so as to be horizontal or to position the side of the gas-liquid dissolving tank 1 to a higher position. When the air bubble generator 11 is stopped and the bath hot water of the air bubble generating bathtub 12 becomes empty, since no water remains in the air bubble generator 11, the reproduction source of legionella bacteria or the like is severed and thus sanitation is improved.
