PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent observation endoscope system by which an image based on a video signal from which exciting light components are cut is obtained in fluorescent observation, and an image based on a video signal containing the exciting light components is obtained in normal observation. SOLUTION: From a light guide 38, white light is emitted in normal observation, and the exciting light is emitted in fluorescent observation. The light of a subject transmitted through a first lens group 18 is reflected at right angle by a rotating reflector 39 and enters a second lens group 20a for normal observation or a second lens group 20b for fluorescent observation according to the direction of this rotating reflector 39. In normal observation, the subject light enters the second lens group 20a for normal observation to form the image of the subject on an imaging device 21a for normal observation. In fluorescent observation, the subject light enters the second lens group 20b for fluorescent observation to form the image of the subject on the imaging device 21b for fluorescent observation after removing the exciting light components by an exciting light cut filter 22b.
