The flat cardboard or plastics blank has three transverse folds (3) joining four rectangular sidewalls (2) in a continuous row. It has top (4) and floor panels on either side, joined to the sidewalls by longitudinal folds (5,7). The panels are separated by slits (8,9) to enable the blank to be folded into a finished packing box. There are tags (12,14) at one end and a fastening element (11) to hold the lid panels in the open position.
