<p>The automotive steering system is guided by a steering wheel operating with servo-power (10, 20) and a variable force hydraulic return power unit (22-48). The hydraulic return power unit generates a return moment that is superimposed that is independent of the amplitude and direction of the hand/arm force. The superimposed moment can either reinforce the hand/arm moment or operate counter to the hand/arm moment.</p> |
