摘要 <p>PURPOSE: Provided is a method of treating sewage and wastewater, which is capable of increasing treatment efficiency using a rotating biological contactor with rotating discs, each having media holes radially arranged, and media inserted into the holes to increase surface of the contactor. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of denitrifying nitrate in a first reactor(21), transferring the outflow of the first reactor to a second reactor(22), nitrifying organic nitrogen and ammonia in the second reactor(22), internal-returning an amount of the treated water of the second reactor(22) to the first reactor(21) and transferring the remainder of the treated water to a third reactor(23), denitrifying nitrate in the third reactor(23), transferring the treated water of the third reactor(23) to a nitrification rotating biological contactor(24) and nitrifying therein, transferring the treated water of the nitrification biological contactor(24) to a sedimentation tank, solid-liquid separating the treated water into decant water and sludge in the sedimentation tank, discharging the decant water, and external-returning the sludge to a denitrification rotating biological contactor, wherein biological rotating discs of the first and second rotating biological contactor have a plurality of media holes radially arranged and media inserted into the respective holes.</p>
