PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an inexpensive opening trim weather strip constituted so as to prevent the turnup deformation of the formed part at a corner part and enhanced in the assembling stability to a vehicle, sealability and appearance. SOLUTION: This opening trim weather strip is equipped with the attaching part 13 attached to the opening edge of a car body and a seal part 14 for sealing the gap with an on-off panel. The seal part 14 is cut off at the curved corner part 12a and the formed part 17 formed in a curved state by providing an expanded part to the cut-off part is formed. When the formed part 17 is formed, a connection piece for connecting a part of the attaching part 13 and the leading end of the expanded part is integrally formed toward the outside from the leading end of the expanded part and, after the opening trim weather strip is taken out of the die, the connection piece is reversed to be fixed to a part of the attaching part 13.
