PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary power tool capable of continuously performing work without needing to temporarily stop its use at every charge by allowing a battery to be charged while performing work. SOLUTION: This rotary power tool is provided with a charger 1 capable of converting an alternating current into a direct current to output, an insertion port 2 for a plug for the charger, a switch 3, a drive unit 4, a motor 5, the battery 7, a light emission diode (LED) 8 and a casing 9. During feeding with the charger 1 connected to the insertion port 2, if the switch 3 is turned on, the LED 8 is lighted by a part of the fed current, and the motor 5 is driven while charging the battery 7 with the remaining current. If the switch 3 is turned off, the LED 8 is lighted while charging the battery 7 with the fed current.
