PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact radio responder capable of sensing at high accuracy. SOLUTION: When one antenna 4A of the radio responder wirelessly receives an interrogation signal from an interrogator through one antenna 4A, an interdigital electrode 3A connected to the antenna 4A converts the interrogation signal to a surface acoustic wave which then propagates to an interdigital electrode 3B via a dielectric film 2. At this time, the frequency of the surface acoustic wave propagating on the dielectric film 2 shifts from the frequency of the interrogation signal according to the temperature of the dielectric film 2. The interdigital electrode 3B converts the surface acoustic wave having propagated along the other electrode 3B to an response signal which is then wirelessly transmitted to the interrogator from an antenna 4B connected to the electrode 3B.
