PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling a preform with a resin or slurry and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method and the apparatus comprises a tank (10) for receiving a slurry and an autoclave (11) for receiving the preform. The tank (10) and the autoclave (11) provide with a common vacuum system connected to them and the tank (10) is arranged at the upper site of the autoclave (11). This construction provides a compact melting and filling system (8) for transporting the slurry to the preform received in the autoclave (11) from the tank (10) by using vacuum and gravity.
