PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ejection head which enables the stable high-speed ejection/flying of an ink droplet, and an inkjet recording apparatus using it. SOLUTION: In this electrostatic inkjet ejection head which performs image recording by making an electrostatic force act on ink including charged fine particles to allow the flying of ink particles onto a recording medium, a plurality of individual electrodes for bringing about the action of the electrostatic force are formed on an insulating substrate; a through-hole, which passes through the insulating substrate, is provided in the individual electrode; an ink guide is arranged in the almost central part of the through-hole; an ink supply passage for supplying ink is formed in an outer peripheral part of the ink guide; an ink recovery passage for recovering the ink is formed outside the ink supply passage; and the ink is supplied to the vicinity of the tip part of the ink guide via the ink supply passage, and recovered from the ink recovery passage.
