Method for processing medical imaging data sets (2), which have been obtained in a medical data acquisition station (1). Accordingly the data sets are sent over a network to an external service provider (5) together with information relating to the type of processing required. The data sets are processed as required and the processed image data sets (6) are transferred to the originating data acquisition station and or one or more supplied addresses (7).
