A movable disk (4) is mounted on a support plate (8) which is disposed on a mount (1) through a linear motion guide (7), and a mold opening/closing means (10) consisting of a servomotor (11) and a motion converting mechanism is disposed between the support plate (8) and the mount (1). In the casting cycle, the mold opening/closing mechanism (10) and a tie bar fixing means (21) disposed behind the movable disk (4) are actuated to effect mold opening/closing operation, and a mold clamping force is obtained from a mold clamping cylinder (30) installed on the movable disk (2). When it is required to change the setup for the dedicated mold (3b, 5b), this is effected by extending a tie bar extracting cylinder (41) installed on a stand (40) disposed in the rear of the movable disk (4) until tie bars (6) are extracted from the fixed disk (2), moving the movable rail (52b) of an inter-machine rail (52) to its open position, and bringing a setup-change carriage from outside onto an inter-machine rail (52).
