<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more reduce the number of constituent means, and obtain a proper octave front-end filtering/sample multiplication structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a digital octave front-end filtering/sample multiplication structure which generates the output stream of a digital signal in a sampling period (2<SP>n</SP>)P, in response to an input stream of a digital signal sampling value generated during the sampling period P, if T is a 3 or larger integer, or n is 2 or larger, or both, when N is a 1 or larger number, all filters contain N-sample delay means 504 of a number equal to only an integer part of T/2. By this means, if T is 3, the filter includes one N-sample delay means 504, and if T is more than 3, the filter has two or more N-sample delay means 504, and the octave front-end filtering/sample multiplying structure is constituted so that two or more N-sample delay means 504 are connectable sequentially in series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
