PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of operation by securing the stability of a servo operation in tilt-driving. SOLUTION: As shown in Figures 7 and 2, an optical pickup is provided, as the constituting elements of an objective lens driver 8, with: a fixed block 10; a movable block 11 which is driven in the directions of focusing, tracking, and tilt, and also holds an objective lens 18; a plurality of supporting springs 13 for connecting the fixed block and the movable block; a focusing coil 15; a plurality of tracking coils 16; a pair of tilt coils 17, 17 located facing each other across the objective lens in the direction perpendicular to both of the focusing and tracking directions; and magnets 12, 12 positioned facing the tilt coils. The tilt coils are provided with two or more pairs of oblique side parts 17a, 17a extending in the direction slanting to both of the focusing and tracking directions, and each oblique side part is extended in the same direction.
