PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for an induction motor by which a weight increase and size enlargement in the axial direction can be prevented, and a motor-driven induction machine. SOLUTION: End rings 6 are arranged to both ends of a core 5 so that each storage hole 10 formed at the peripheral edge of the core 5 and each jointing hole 13 formed at the peripheral edge of the end ring 6 made of an aluminum alloy face each other. Aluminum conductor members 7 are cast and stored in the jointing hole 13 and the storage hole 10, respectively. The rotor 3 for the induction motor 1 is composed by being coupled with the end ring 6 at the coupling part 15 of the aluminum conductor member 7 located in the jointing hole 13.
