PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver used in a television program recording system in which a user can quickly grasp the detailed content constitution of a recorded program. SOLUTION: After a television program is completely broadcasted, a broadcast station transmits, together with the program, program information including portion information dividing the entire television program into a plurality of program portions and describing each of the program portions while pairing an item name added based on its contents and a broadcast time of that program portion. When a scheduled time to transmit the program information is transmitted as scheduled time information during the program broadcasting, the scheduled time is stored by a scheduled time information holding means 15, and a control means 17 turns on a power source at the scheduled time so that a broadcast receiving means 10 receives and records the program.
