PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having an undercoat layer and the photosensitive layer, wherein an image defect is not arisen, while having proper electrical characteristics and mechanical characteristics, such as superior adhesiveness to a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has the photosensitive layer, consisting of a charge generating layer containing a charge-generating substance and a binder resin and a charge transfer layer containing a charge transfer substance on a conductive base material. The charge-generating layer contains a phthalocyanine pigment as the charge generating substance in an amount of 10 to 45 wt% based on the charge-generating layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
