PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge for an electrophotographic apparatus having a long service life and capable of stably supplying an image of high quality. SOLUTION: The surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains polycarbonate resin and filler. The polycarbonate resin contains a structural unit expressed by formula (1) and specified two structural units, has≥70,000 weight average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene and has the molar ratio of the structural unit expressed by formula (1) with respect to the molar sum of all structural units being larger than 0.1 and less than 0.7. In formula (1), each of R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>represents an acyl group, an alkyl group or an aryl group; and each of Ar<SB>1</SB>, Ar<SB>2</SB>and Ar<SB>3</SB>represents an arylene group.
