PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel for a converter lens which prevents no unnecessary reflected light from entering a photographing lens while the converter lens is fitted to the lens barrel. SOLUTION: An adapter cylinder 21 as the lens barrel for the converter lens is a cylindrical member which is attachable to and detachable from the front of a lens barrel 10 of a camera 1 and an adapter stop 22 is fitted therein. The converter lens barrel 23 which holds the converter lens 24 is fixed to the front of the adapter cylinder 21 by threadable engagement. When the camera 1 is placed in a photographable state, an aperture part 22a of the adapter stop 22 abuts against a ring-shaped front end surface part 6a of a 1st group frame 6. In the abutted state, the ring-shaped front end part 6a is shielded by the adapter stop 22, so that incident light in photography is not reflected by the ring-shaped front end surface part 6a, an excellent photographed image can be obtained as a result.
