PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag which is excellent in storage property, capable of rapidly absorbing hot gas ejected from an inflator when developed, and reducing burning of an occupant, and formed of a base cloth for occupant protection of excellent flame resistance. SOLUTION: The base cloth for the airbag is a laminated cloth with a non-woven textile formed of flame-resistant fiber inserted between synthetic resin fiber-made cloths, and the laminated cloth is quilted and integrated. The ventilation amount under the differential pressure of 125 Pa of the non-woven textile formed of the flame-resistant fibers is in a range of 50-300 cc/cm<SP>2</SP>/sec, and the laminated cloth is integrally sewn. The airbag is formed by using a base cloth for the airbag, and equipped so that a blast blowing-out direction controlling member having an opening part to control the ejection direction of the blast to be blown from an inflator covers a blast blowing-out port of the inflator.
