An optical disc has a spiral standard locus. A groove is formed as a wobble which meanders or wobbles along the standard locus. The wobble is determined from a wobble signal. The wobble signal is modulated such that a DC offset of the wobble signal is cancelled by a symbol unit of predetermined data. Therefore, in tracking servo upon reproducing, the position of an optical pickup can be converged onto the amplitude center of the wobble in a short time.
