[PROBLEMS] To provide a method of producing a frozen food whereby fragile parts in frozen fishes (for example, prawn caudal appendage, blue crab appendage or fish tail fin) can be effectively blocked and the frozen fish can be easily thawed in a number required by a consumer, and a frozen food obtained thereby. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A freezing point-lowering agent such as ethanol whereby the freezing point of water can be lowered to a level below -15°C, i.e., the frozen-transportation temperature is added selectively to peripheral and fragile parts of fishes (for example, prawn caudal appendage, blue crab appendage or fish tail fin) to thereby form a frozen block or the like.
