<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus which assures the cleaning of toner, more particularly the cleaning of the spherical toner with good reliability for a long period of time, makes it possible to obtain good images free of scumming due to a cleaning defect for a long period of time, evades the occurrence of the wormhole-like image drop-out and blurred image arising at the time of transferring the image from a photoreceptor and attains higher durability of the photoreceptor, whicch is not attained in the conventional photoreceptor alone. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes at least (a) a photoreceptor, (b) a sliding and rubbing member which is made to abut on the photoreceptor and slides and rubs the photoreceptor with a relative speed difference from the photoreceptor and (c) a pressing member which is made to abut on the photoreceptor and presses the photoreceptor by moving at approximately the same speed as the speed of the photoreceptor, wherein fluororesin particles are incorporated into at least the outermost surface layer of the photoreceptor and the fluororesin particles are spread in the surface of the photoreceptor by the image forming process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
