<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent ferrite sintered compact exhibiting high magnetic permeability, high electrical resistance, low core loss, and high induced electromotive force. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite sintered compact comprises 100 pts.mass main component comprising 42-54 mol% Fe (in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>), 12-37 mol% Zn (in terms of ZnO), 7-35 mol% Ni (in terms of NiO), and 0.5-10 mol% Cu (in terms of CuO) and 0.001-0.6 pt.mass Zr (in terms of ZrO<SB>2</SB>), Zr having been dispersed uniformly in the sintered body.
