<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of preventing occurrence of defective images such as defective transfer, and reliably separating and feeding sheets, and an image forming device having the same. <P>SOLUTION: When a sheet position detection means detects that a top surface of a sheet bundle stacked on an elevating/lowering sheet stacking means reaches the feedable position by a sheet feed means 101, air is blown to an end portion of the sheet bundle by air blowing means 4 and 5. If the sheet is not fed by the sheet feed means 101 after the elapse of a predetermined waiting time after the top surface of the sheet bundle reaches the feedable position by the sheet position detection means or after the sheet is fed by the sheet feed means 101, air is blown by the air blowing means 4 and 5 in a predetermined air blowing time.
