PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device capable of identifying a user among a plurality of users and setting a reproduction starting position based on a past stop position for each user. SOLUTION: A user A first inputs a user name and a password as user setting to a hard disk recorder 10. After the user setting, the user A starts the reproduction of a program #1 from its head position. When the reproduction is suspended, an information management part 11 sets the reproduction suspended time as the resume point of the user A, and stores and manages it as the program information of the program #1 in a program information storage part 113. Next time the user A reproduces this program #1, the information management part 11 confirms the resume point of the user A of the program #1 on the basis of the stored program information of the program information storage part 113, and starts the reproduction of an HDD 12 from a position corresponding to the reproduction suspended time.
